Joseph “Joe” Florek, 67, of Huntley, passed away Sunday, December 12. 2021 at home. Born January 13, 1954 in Chicago. Joe was a Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed the TV show “Survivor” and spending time with his family. Beloved dad of Jason (Jamie), Jennifer (Scott) Smith and Michelle (Eric) Reed; loving Papa Joe of Ashley, Scott, Madelyn and Elisa; cherished son of the late Edwin and Evelyn (nee Pleet) and caring brother of Carol and Barbara, Memorial visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
