Joseph Blanford

Joseph “Joe” Blanford, 67, of Bartlett, died Saturday, July 21, 2013 at his home. Born January 24, 1946 in Chicago. He was the son of Walter and June (nee Kapusta). Joe enjoyed fishing, cars and was extremely handy but his true passion was his family.
Survivors include wife Geraldine “Geri” (nee Niemotka); children Lisa (John) Lanciloti, Joe, and Rick (Jenna); grandchildren Johnny, James, Joey, Joshua and Mikey; mother June and sister Sandy (Jack) Rosner.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother Dan.
Visitation Wednesday, July 24, 2013 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 9:15a.m. to Resurrection Church, Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, would be appreciated.
