Joseph Biamonte

February 28, 1954 — March 1, 2017

Joseph John Biamonte, of Streamwood, husband of Valerie, nee Sklander; stepfather of Douglas "D.J." Carlson; brother of JoAnn (Lawrence) Shafar and the late Violet Homan; brother in law of Dale Homan and Jamie Sudikatus, Kim (Chris) Chereck and John F. (Carol) Sklander; son of Dorothy, nee Ruzevich (and the late Joseph F.); son in law of Bonnie and the late John Sklander; grandson in law of Lorraine (late Floyd) Morrill; uncle of Michael (Michaela), Lisa (Kyle) Osier, Daniel (Beth) Homan and Laura (Pat) Bloniarz; great uncle of many great nieces and great nephews; nephew of Pete (Marie) Ruzevich and Tony (Angie) Ruzevich and many cousins. Master of his German Shepherd, Einstein. Joe was a very supportive husband, who was very much in love with his wife, Valerie. He and Valerie used to joke that the key to their happy marriage was to acknowledge that he knew everything but she was always right. He was also a devoted son. Those who knew him would describe him as strong willed, determined, and kind hearted - for those he loved. Patience not being one of his virtues, he expected a lot of himself and others, being his own man and an animal lover who often volunteered at Anderson Animal Shelter. He was an avid Blackhawks fan, enjoyed watching college football and cheering on the Florida Gators, an excellent photographer and a huge fan of the 3 Stooges (Curly being his favorite). When he and Valerie traveled they always tried to go someplace warm and tropical like Hawaii (where they were married), Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, as well as the Caribbean. He learned to love the outdoors through his time with the Boy Scouts and camping became one of his favorite past times. Gardening was a gift he had; he could grow anything anywhere. Above all else family was the most important thing in his life. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
