, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
What Josefina cherished most in life was her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Anastacio Gonzalez Jr., with whom she shared 55 beautiful years of marriage.
Beloved mother of Bernie (Isela), Jerry, Norma (late Darren) Leonardi, Jose (Jenni), and Maria (Darrel Jr.) Featherly.
Proud and cherished abuelita of Darren Joshua, Natalie (Brent), Ciara, Hannah, Mason, Bella, Danica, Eli, and Aubrey, and loving great- abuelita to Layla and River.
Dear sister and hermanita , treasured Tía to many nieces and nephews, and a true friend to all who knew her. Josefina’s warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory , 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. at Barrington Rd., Streamwood, IL 60107.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, October 10 , with prayers at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, proceeding to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church , 502 Park Blvd., Streamwood, for Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Interment private.
