Josef Wilfinger

Josef Wilfinger, 78, of Hanover Park, died Saturday, May 5, 2018. Born October 18, 1939 in Austria. Josef was an artisan. He enjoyed working with wood. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and bird watching. Josef was the president of the Steirer Club of Chicago for 40 years. He will be missed by his family and friends. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Abeln); loving father of Frank (Esther), Christine (Alan) Wilfinger-Free, Paul (Sabrina) and Eileen (Robert) Wilfinger-Talluto; cherished Opa of Erich, Josef (Sarah), Cory, Jessica (Brian), Ashley (Nick), Brian, Alexander (Erica), Kyle (Shayla) and Steven; dear great Opa of Erin and Ian; kind son of Franz and Aloisia (nee Falk) and brother of Johanna (the late Leo) Payne and Mitzi (Heinz) Meyer. Visitation 4:30p.m. to 9:00p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral and burial will be private.
