Jon was the cherished son of Edwin "Skip" and Gail Ray, and the dear brother of Lindsay Sanchez and her husband Jordan. As an uncle, Jon held a special place in the hearts of his nephews, Elijah, Gabriel, and Samuel Sanchez. He was also a beloved nephew to George and Marlene Clark, and a cousin and friend to many whose lives he touched with his quiet grace.
A dedicated and industrious individual, Jon earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University. He balanced his life between serving as an accountant and working as a waiter at the Cheesecake Factory, a testament to his hard-working nature and commitment.
Jon had a passion for travel, often seeking out sunny beaches where he could immerse himself in the beauty of the world. A devoted fan of Star Wars, Chicago Black Hawks and the Chicago Bulls. Despite his quiet and private demeanor, Jon was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends, embodying a kind and generous spirit dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Jon on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 S. Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL. A memorial service will take place at 5:00 pm. These services offer an opportunity for Jon's family and friends to come together, share memories, and honor a life filled with kindness and love.
