John W. Thomas of Roselle, IL. Survived by his beloved wife Josephine Thomas of 77 years. Also, His son Jack, grandchildren, Tracy Thomas and Christine O’Neil and great grandson Brody. Mr. Thomas worked at the Elgin Courier news for over 25 years. A combat veteran of WWII and a pure example of Tom Brokaw’s “Greatest Generation.” Winner of two Medals. Adored and devoted to his wife and family. Best known for “If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.”
Visitation Saturday, August 9th 8:30 a.m. until the time of prayers 10:15 a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 333 S. Roselle Rd., Roselle to St. Isidore Church. Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment private for the family.
