John Taylor

John “Jack” Taylor, 74 of South Elgin, died Sunday, July 24, 2022. Born June 21, 1948 in Springfield. Jack enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, creating and making things from nothing, and spending time with his family. Beloved husband of 20 years to Darlene (nee Wegner); loving dad of Laura Taylor and Kara (Robert) Finley and stepdad of Leslie (Jeffrey) Elliott and Lisa (Stephen Kriskovich; cherished grandpa of Jacob, Hannah, Hailey, Noah and Brooklyn; dear son of the late Carl and Marcella (nee Stevens) Taylor; fond brother of Steve (Letha) Taylor, Mary Lou (Ken) Koenig and Cathy Taylor and dear stepson of Elizabeth Taylor.

Memorial visitation Saturday August 6, 10:00 am until time of memorial service 12:00 noon at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Alzheimer’s Association, http://act.alz.org/goto/CaptainJacksCrew, would be appreciated.
