John Duros, Sr.

John S. Duros, Sr., 90, of South Elgin, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. An Air Force Veteran, John was an avid Bears fan and musician who played the accordion and organ. Beloved husband of Paula (nee Byrom); loving father of Kevin (Debby), Keith (the late Sheryl), John, Jr. (Kris), Debbie (Mike) Slechta, Scott (Shari), Mike (Michaelene) Catanzaro, Roxane Catanzaro, and Meagan (Bill) Mattern; proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; dear brother of the late Toni DiPego. Visitation Wednesday, October 6 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with funeral services at 7:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert St. (at State St.), South Elgin. Following services cremation private at Countryside Crematory. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Alzheimers Association at www.alz.org are appreciated. Info (847)289-8054
