John Harum Smead, 72, died Friday, January 8, 2020 in New York City, NY. John was amazing and had friends in every corner of the globe. He was a happy, kind and nonjudgmental soul. John loved to laugh and was an extraordinary artist and musician. He will be missed. Beloved son of the late Charles and Phyllis; loving brother of Martha (James) Bull; cherished uncle of Caitlin (Pratik) Shah; dear great-uncle of Shreya and long-time companion of Ivana Bradanovic. Cremation will be private. John’s cremains will be laid to rest with his parents at the Bartlett Cemetery, Bartlett, IL.
