John D. Sasso, 88, of Bartlett, formerly of Harwood Heights, died Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Born July 17, 1935, in Chicago. John had many talents and enthusiasms including gardening, cooking, making stained glass, drawing, painting, acting, singing, and most recently quilting. However, his biggest passion was always his family. Beloved husband of 62 years to Nancy (nee Kosina); loving Dad of Larry (Lisa) Sasso, Lisa (Ken) Naccarato, Stacey (Spencer) Martin, Rebecca (Bruce) Pulitini and Rachel (Mark) Michaels; cherished Poppy of Ashley (Greg), Danielle (Brett), Tori, Elena, Paul, Gianna (late), Gabriella, Alisia, Matthew, Evelyn, and Sarah; dear Great-Poppy of Nolan; loving son of the late Nick and Phyllis and fond brother of the late Rosemary, Joseph, Nat and Nick; loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Memorial visitation Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 8:30 am until time of prayers 10:15 am going to St. Peter Damian Catholic Church, Mass 11:00 am in the chapel. Inurnment St. Adalbert Cemetery to follow. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
