Visitation and funeral for John Edward Rick of Joppa formerly of Metropolis will be held Friday and Saturday at the Aikins Funeral Home 70 Jon St. Metropolis, IL. (618) 524-2156 Times pending. Interment Masonic Cemetery, Metropolis.
Born March 3, 1939 and raised in Metropolis, John died Monday September 3, 2012 in Glendale Height, IL.
A veteran of the US Army, John worked for the city of Metropolis for many years.
He is the cherished son of the late Gus and Fay Rick nee Pullman; beloved brother of Ernie, Pearl Berra, Rose Mangone and the late Gus William, Della Marie, Nellie, Charles, Lily Fay and Rebecca Ann; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Shirley Stetson, his loving and caring caregiver in Joppa for 2 years.
