John Nawrot

John P. Nawrot, 73, died on Thursday, August 26, 2021. John was the beloved, eldest son of the late Richard P. and Catherine E. Nawrot. John will be laid to rest alongside his mother and father at St. Michaels Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.

John leaves behind four siblings; Charles (Mary), Beth (James), Gary (Rose) and Greg. He also leaves behind three nieces and five nephews.

John will be remembered as a kind soul who lived a simple life. He was always eager to talk about ‘what are you up to?’, and ‘how are things going?’. During his many visits to brothers’ and sister’s homes, he was always willing to lend a helping hand with a household chore or project. Whether it was inside or outside, he wanted to help.
Some of John’s many loves were music and movies. If you played a song, John immediately knew the artist. He was seldom stumped. His talent was impressive, and his musical home library could challenge Spotify and Pandora.

John also enjoyed a vast and wide range of movies and TV shows. His favorites were the ‘oldies’. You were always welcome to take a DVD home from his large collection, as long as you brought it back soon.

We will miss John dearly. He was a great big brother and a sweet uncle. His positive attitude will live deeply in our hearts. It was hard to put John in a bad mood, and his normal response was always ‘I'm good.’ Even at the very end of John’s life, he continually had ‘thumbs up’ and a smile on his face. We love you John. You will be remembered and missed.
