John Meyer

John was born in Deerfield, IL. on Aug. 5, 1926. He entered into the arms of his savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 31, 2014 at the age of 88. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Medical Corps. He was a longtime member of the Arlington Heights Evangelical Free Church and actively involved in many ministries there. In latter years he attended Willow Creek Church. He was devoted to his family and his faith, a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

John is survived by Rowena, his beloved wife of 62 years. He was the loving father of Stephen Meyer, and Christine (Steven)Wilcox. He was the cherished grandfather of Wesley Wilcox and Amy Wilcox.

Visitation for John S. Meyer will be held Saturday, Jan 10th 2015 at 11:30 AM. The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Ted Olsen at the Countryside Funeral Home, 333 S. Roselle, Rd., Roselle, IL. Interment will be in private.
