John Phillip Mahoney, 61, of Bartlett died August 6, 2023. John was the beloved husband of Sharon (nee Racutt) for 38 years.; loving father of John (Julie) and Nicole (Jimmy) Jankowicz; proud grandfather of Molly, Johnny and Jimmy; dear brother of James (Josephine) Mahoney and the late Mary (Dan) Dorich; cherished son of the late James and Genevieve Mahoney; fond brother in law of Mary (Dave) Goodacre, Nancy (John) Ellis, Diane (Gary) Sirotzke, the late Wally (Sherry), Virginia (the late Gary) Rude and Bill Racutt; loving uncle of Jimmy, Jamie, Danny, Liz, Joey, Shannon, Shaughn, Chris, Nick, Melissa, Karyn, Steven, Jessica, Matt and Steph.

John ejoyed going to the movies and eating pizza. His favorite show was Doctor Who. Spending time with his family and grandkids was very important. He was a jokester.

Memorial visitation Saturday August 12, 3:00pm - 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory.
