John "Jack" Lynch

John J. Lynch, 95, of Bartlett, IL passed away peacefully with family present on March 7, 2025. Jack was born on December 30, 1929 to his parents James and Hazel Lynch in Erie, PA.
Jack had a long and successful career working for Canteen Corporation for 40 years. He began his career as a stock boy and route salesman, and rose through the ranks to Area Vice President before he retired in 1991.
Jack was a man of many talents and interests– from model airplanes to photography to vintage pens, Jack enjoyed a variety of activities and mastered every one with perseverance, precision, and commitment. Jack was an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons.
Jack will be missed by all who knew him. He truly understood the importance of faith, family, and friends and was able to connect with others in a way that left them uplifted. We have been blessed to have a loving, kind, thoughtful, and an exceptionally caring man in our lives. Earth lost an amazing human being and heaven gained a beautiful soul.
Jack is the beloved husband of 74 years to Iris “Elaine” Lynch; loving father of Deborah (Donald) Madson of Moline, IL, Christopher (Judy) Lynch of Mesa, AZ, Melinda Lynch of Bloomington, IL, the late John (Sally) Lynch of Campton Hills, IL, Susan (Daniel) Walsh of Geneva, IL, and Stephen (Sandy) Lynch of Hawthorn Woods, IL; cherished grandpa of 19 and great-grandpa of 15; dear brother of the late James Lynch.
Memorial visitation: Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 9:30am until time of Mass at 10:30am at the Sacred Heart Chapel at The Oaks, 827 Carillon Dr., Bartlett.
