John Kotlarchik

John M. Kotlarchik, age 83 of Hanover Park, IL passed away peacefully at his beloved home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He was born in Neffs, Ohio on March 12, 1942 to the late Michael and Erma (Kotera) Kotlarchik. He was the big brother to the late Jean Marie Yoder (Kotlarchik). He was a computer programmer for Xerox, IBM, and Data General for almost 35 years. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and fixing items for family and friends. John especially enjoyed family time with his daughter, son, and his grandchildren. John is survived by his former wife Barb Lira of Elgin: two children Karen (Michael) Schulte of Gallatin, TN and Steven Kotlarchik of Sycamore, IL; four grandchildren: John Garrett, Jason Wyatt, Mackenzie Patricia, and Sarah Grace: and niece Marie Surles (Yoder), along with other neighbors and friends. John loved the outdoors and the landscape of Montana. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed US history and classic westerns - as long as it was large print. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Muzzleloader enthusiast. Most of all he loved Jesus and looked forward to the day when he would be healed when he was present before his Lord and Savior. Visitation for John will be held at the Countryside Funeral Home , 333 South Roselle Road, Roselle, IL 60172 from 3:00pm until 9:00pm with a funeral service at 5:00pm with Rev. Mark Coleman officiating on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Cremation will be private after services. Online condolences can be left under the Memory Wall tab .
