John M. Jancik Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John M. Jancik Jr., who peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on July 4, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, John was a beacon of strength, love, and unwavering support to all who knew him.

John is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 42 years, Colleen, who was his constant companion and partner in life's journey. Together, they built a beautiful family and enduring legacy. He leaves behind his cherished children: Jennifer Niemeyer and her husband Dan, John III and his wife Jessica, and Michelle Harding and her husband Chad.

He was the proud and adoring "Garage Grandpa" to Rylee, Jordan, Addisyn, Johnny, Emersyn, Mabel, and Madelyn, who he loved immensely. He is survived by his sister, Lynn Cummings, and her husband Jeff, who were a source of love and support throughout his life.

Preceding him in death were his dear parents, John Sr. and Elaine Jancik, and his siblings, Kathy Schultz and Michael Jancik, with whom he is now reunited.

Known far and wide as "Mr. Fixit," John had a passion for repairing anything and everything that crossed his path. Yet, his greatest joy was the precious time spent with his family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

John's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered with love and gratitude.
