Visitation for John W. Garbrecht of Roselle for 35 years will be held Monday September 30, 2013 3:00 - 8:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Tuesday 11:00a.m. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born May 26, 1945 in Palatine, John died Thursday, September 26, 2013.
A US Army veteran during the Vietnam era, John retired from Dupli-Color in Elk Grove Village after 42 years of service. During that time he also delivered newspapers for the Daily Herald for 25 years. Recently, he worked for the Elk Grove Park District in Lawn and Maintenance.
John is the beloved husband of Paula K. nee Schultz; loving father of Brian John (Vanessa King) of Elgin; dear brother of Susan (Larry) Bonner and James H. (Erika); many loving nieces and nephews.
