John T. Finan, of Brookdale of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Chicago. John was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (nee Groark); loving brother of Margaret Keyser, loving brother of Peter Finan; cherished Uncle of Frank (Annette) Keyser, Margaret (Tom) Hertel, Maryann (Jerry) McSwain, Eileen (Clyde) Wright, John (Cheryl) Keyser, Julie Pecho, Lois (Derek) Morton and the late Peter Finan, Jr.; he will be missed by many great nieces and nephews.
A World War II Navy veteran John served on the USS Lexington, he was also a police officer with the Chicago Police Department for 26 years.
Visitation December 30, Tuesday 8:00a.m. until the time of prayers 9:15a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg to St. John the Evangelist Church Mass 10:00a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
