John Dorner, age 58, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 in Park Ridge.
Born August 26, 1950 in Chicago. He was the son of Jacob and Lydia, nee Tichelaar.
John enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, dancing, bowling and watching Dirty Dancing. He was also a proud participant in the Special Olympics.
Survivors include sister Irma (Yasar) Nusret; niece and nephew Jacqueline (John) Joseph, Michael Nusret; and great-nephew and niece Jacob and Jessica.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Suzanne.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 – 9 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett rd, Bartlett. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment St. Joseph. The family of John would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Austin Special and the Adult Down Syndrome Clinic. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Austin Special, 5414 W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL 60639.
