Prayers for John Robert Desmond, 62 of Hanover Park for 30 years, formerly of Berwyn will be held Thursday 10:15a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg to St. Ansgar Church. Mass 11:00a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 3:00 – 9:00p.m. at the funeral home.
John was a loyal employee of United Airlines, retiring after 37 years of service. He was also an active member of St. Ansgar Church, serving as an usher and member of the Knights of Columbus Council 14435.
He is the cherished son of the late Jack and Grace Desmond nee McGuire and survived by his beloved brother James Lee of Chicago, loving godmother Sr. Helen Doremus, OSF, goddaughter Jamie Scatchell, dear friend Candy and many loving cousins.
