John A. Bosh Jr., 83 of Elgin, died peacefully at home Friday, June 7, 2024. Born July 22, 1940, in Chicago. John was a police officer having spent 25 years at the Glendale Heights Police Department retiring as Deputy Chief and then as Court Security at the Kane County Sheriff’s Department for 11 years before fully retiring. He enjoyed being in his yard and working in his garden. He loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He will be missed. Beloved husband of 39 years to Kathy; loving dad of Denise (George) Beggs, John, Roxanne (Todd) Kuhlmann, Dean, Sharon (Ken) Wulffen, Richard (Denise), Ray Garcia, Maria Garcia, Michelle Davies and Rachel (Courtney) Barnes; cherished Grandpa of 21 and Papa John to 13 great grandchildren; kind brother of Sandy and uncle to many. He is preceded by grandchildren Beth Davies, Dustin Fico and Coleton Bosh, parents John and Stella and sisters Joan and Charlotte. Memorial visitation Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 2:00 pm until time of memorial service at 3:30 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert Street (at State St), South Elgin. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
