John Bloniarz

John Anthony Bloniarz, 75, of Schaumburg, died March 8, 2017. John was the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Jannotta) for 48 years; loving father of Denise (Brad) Sharratt; proud grandpa of Rachael and Rebecca; cherished brother of Kathleen (Alphonse) Serpico and the late Leona Agnes (the late George) Gaspar. He will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews, and his dog Sasha.

An Army veteran, John was a member of the American Legion Post 2910. John enjoyed collecting coins, traveling to Arizona and going to the casino with Patricia. He was also a Cubs fan. John was a devoted Catholic, he loved attending Mass at St. John Cantius Church in Chicago whenever he had the opportunity. He was a Lane Tech graduate, and obtained his engineering degree from IIT. He worked for John Crane for 33 years before retiring in November of 2013. John enjoyed biking and hiking with his longtime friend Paul. He participated in the Harper Volleyball Program for over 25 years.

Visitation Wednesday March 15, 9:30a.m. until time of Mass 11:00a.m. at St. Matthew Church 1001 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to American Heart Association www.heart.org or American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org would be appreciated.
