A 1991 graduate of Streamwood High School, John will be remembered for his love of cats, riding his Spyder motorcycle, which he called "Therapy", feeding the squirrels and his love of gaming with his nephew.
John is the cherished son of the late Elmer V. and Mary Diane Berghofer nee Padbury; beloved brother of Chris (Kevin) Brandner; loving uncle of Tyler (Des) Husfield.

A private service for John E. Berghofer of Rolling Meadows, formerly of Streamwood was held in Quincy, Illinois.
