John Amidon

John R. Amidon, 83, of Bartlett. Born December 28, 1928 in North East, PA. He was the son of C. Royce and Georgia (Nee Cornish). A veteran of the U.S. Army, John loved his country. His big heart will be missed by many.
Survivors include wife of 61 years Betty (nee Brown); children Laura (Wayne) Bradley, Lance and Lois (Mike) Thomas; grandchildren Heather, Haylie, Andrew, Alex, Jacob, Jennifer, Anna, Zachary, Gabriel, Noah, Joel, Zoe, Mya and Michael; 5 great-grandchildren and brother Richard.
A memorial visitation will be Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 2:00p.m. until time of memorial service 3:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation, www.alzfdn.org, would be appreciated.
