Joel Welch

Joel R. Welch, 64, of Bloomingdale, died Friday, May 20, 2011. Born September 28, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan. A veteran of the U.S. Army. Joel was a model railroading enthusiast. He enjoyed road racing and attended many Grand Prix, but his true passion was his family.
Beloved husband to Virginia A. (Kinsella); loving father to Virginia A. (John) Carlin and Erin K. (Joseph) Beyer; dear grandfather to David and Sean Carlin, Bradley, Shannon and Katie Beyer; Cherished son to the late Richard C. and Gertrude A. (nee Penney); fond brother to Michael, Karen (Don) Mars and Lark (Norman) Burkhart.
Visitation Tuesday 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 333 S. Roselle Rd (1/2 mile south of Irving Park), Roselle. Funeral Wednesday 8:45a.m. going to St. Isidore Church, Mass 9:30a.m. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
