Joanne Kay

A memorial gathering for Joanne V. Kay, of Hanover Park, will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. Streamwood, IL 60107. Joanne was born on June 13, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to her parents, John and Genevieve Bochniak.

Joanne is the beloved wife of 58 years to the late John Kay; loving mother of Cynthia (Harald) Berrey, Debra (Bradley) Long, Linda (Joseph) Sanfillippo, Laurette Kay and John (Barbara) Kay; cherished grandmother of Matthew (Elizabeth) Berrey, Nicholas Berrey and Stephanie (Ryan) Postel, Joanna Newby, Justin (Kara) Sanfillippo, Brandon (Jessica) Sanfillippo, Alicia (Alec) Kraus, Michael Sanfillippo and Emily and Jenna Kay; and proud great-grandmother of Clara and Weston Berrey, Emerson and Everly Postel, Nora, Nelson and Noele Newby; dear sister of Lillian Schumel, Helen Purol, Daniel Bochniak and the late Eugene Bochniak.
