Visitation for Joann M. Gwiasda nee Creagh of Hanover Park for 40 years will be held Monday 3:00 – 9:00p.m at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg . Prayers will begin Tuesday 9:15a.m.at the funeral home to St. Marcelline Church. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago.
Joann was born April 29, 1944 in Chicago and passed away Thursday Nov. 19, 2009.
She left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving children. Sheer joy to all who met her, she was everyone’s best friend. An absolute angel on earth, her kindness and generosity knew no bounds. An example to all, she found happiness in life’s simplest pleasures, and enjoyed all the beauty the world offers. No words can describe how much she was loved and how deeply she will be missed. Her memory and spirit live on with her children and grandchildren. May God welcome her with open arms.
She is the beloved wife of 46 years of William H.; loving mother of Julie (John) Wray of Chicago, Bill (the late Rebecca) of Chicago and Robert (Julie) of Barrington; proud grandmother of Nicole and Stephanie Gwiasda and Katelyn and Callie Wray; cherished daughter of the late Ann Wiltgen; dear sister of Andrew Creagh.
