Joann K. Fischer(nee Eggebrecht), 78, of South Elgin, passed away Thursday, July 5. An avid Cubs fan and country music listener, Joann was a devoted grandmother who also enjoyed cooking. Beloved mother of Donald Mark and David; loving grandmother of Christie Fischer, Kelly Fischer, Kevin Fischer, and Melanie Fischer; proud great grandmother of Evan, Alayah, Peyton, and Brooks; fond sister of Gene(the late Carole) Eggebrecht, Darrell Eggebrecht, Jr., James(Jeannie) Eggebrecht, the late Ronald(Wilma) Eggebrecht, and the late Robert(Mary) Eggebrecht. Visitation Monday, July 9 from 4:00pm until time of service 7:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert St.(at State St.), South Elgin.
