Visitation for Joan McGough Miller, of Englewood, FL, formerly of Streamwood, will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015, 3:00pm until time of service 7:00pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood/Schaumburg.
Born November 11, 1929, Joan died January 6, 2015. Loving mother of Michael (Sharon) McGough, James McGough, Patricia (Richard) Niemaszyk, Virginia Cassidy, Bridget Logue, Catherine McGough, William (Krista) McGough, Susan (Michael) Raimer, Carol (Brian) Fitgerald, Mary Bertling, and Jodi (Keith) Shields; dear sister of Vivian Herman; proud grandmother of 18; great grandmother of 3. Preceded in death by parents Harold and Marie Singleton, sister Shirley Ann Baker, sons Patrick (Joyce) McGough, Thomas (Susan) McGough, Robert (Mary) McGough, Edward (Davide Macon) McGough, and husbands Edward McGough and Harold Miller.
Actively involved in community and school development, Joan worked as administrative assistant to Assistant Superintendent of U-46 prior to becoming Village Clerk of Streamwood and serving 14 years. She retired in 1995.
