Joan P. Bascomb, 92, passed away on September 19, 2023. Joan lived in Schaumburg, IL for 63 years. She was the beloved wife for 57 years to the late Hal; loving mother to Pamela Kemph, Carol (David) Schumann, and Richard (Earnest Mims) Bascomb; cherished grandmother to Kari Madden and Kelsey (Cesar) Del Rio and great-grandmother to Breck and Morgan Del Rio; dear sister to Alvin Pontius Jr., Ralph Hoffmann, Hope (Pontius) Kurz, Roy Hoffmann, and Paul Hoffmann. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Hal; her parents Alvin Pontius and Evelyn (Hubert) Hoffmann; and her son-in-law Charles Kemph. A private cremation took place.
