Joachim Ulrich Chmel, 73, of West Chicago. Born November 16, 1941 in Germany, Joachim was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved western movies, but mostly he enjoyed being with his grandsons. Loving dad of Kathleen (Michael) Jachim, cherished grandpa of Andy and Matt; dear brother of Bärbel Heller and Dieter; caring son of the late Willie and Martha.
