Jo-Anne Gramkowski, 91, of Streamwood was granted her angel wings on Saturday November 26, 2022. Jo-Anne was born on October 22, 1931 in Big Stone Gap, VA. She worked many years for School District U-46 as a cafeteria worker. A job she loved until her retirement.
Jo-Anne was a caring and giving person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to cook and bake for them. One of the most important things that she cherished in life was caring for her twin great-grandsons Brandon and Alexander from the time they were infants until they started school, and then in summer months. When history repeated itself almost 8 years later, she got the chance to care for her twin great-granddaughters Rilynn and Addison (as she would say “my beauties”).
Jo-Anne is survived by her children, Cynthia Littledale (Richard Ahrens) of Hanover Park, IL; Richard Gramkowski (Sandra) of Belvidere, IL; and Dave Scott (Theresa) of Dallas, TX.
Four granddaughters Nicole (Robert) Kloeckner; and Christine, Katherine, Madison King. Two Grandsons Andrew (Nicole) Gramkowski; and Daniel Littledale.
Seven great-grandchildren; Brandon, Alexander, Rilynn, Addison Kloeckner; Trindon, Brooklyn Gramkowski; and Makenzie King.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, son Thomas King, parents Robert and Mae Edens, sister Helen and brother Robert (Buddy as she called him).
