Jim Swick

Jim "Big Swick" Swick, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 17th, he was the cherished husband of the late Ruby; dear dad of Michelle, Jamie, Angela, Daniel and Alexander; devoted grandpa of Gabby, Nicholas, Jordan, Bianca, Briana, Marco, Anthony, Lilliana, DJ, Bella and Sophia; loving brother of Rosemary and Rebecca (Chris) Alexander; caring uncle of Jennifer, Katherine, Ricky, Alex and David; fond nephew of Nickie (Lou) Horton, Maria (Lee) Plankis and the late Jane (late Tom) Treantafles and the late Anthony (Stella) Denos and the beloved son of the late Albert and the late Maxine. Jim retired in 2019 after 20 dedicated years as a Kane County Sheriff. A visitation will be held at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church 25 Church Rd. Elgin, Il. from 11:00 am until the time of service 12:30 pm. Jim will be buried in Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago. In lieu of flowers donations to Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church 25 Church Rd.
