Jennifer Annette Schubeck, nee Pease, 41, of Chicago, passed away surrounded by family June 18th; wife of Michael, mom of Ryan and Owen; daughter of David (Peggy) Pease and daughter in law of George and Carol Schubeck; granddaughter of Ruth Kisselburg; sister of Anne; sister in law of Colleen (Jaison) Winckler; niece to many aunts and uncles; friend to many.
Jen fought colon cancer, courageously, for over a year. Her devotion and love for their boys gave Jen the will to fight. Jen got great joy from the simple things in life which the boys provided to her daily. Originally receiving her degree in business but deciding to go back to school to get a second degree; inspired by family members, to become a special needs speech therapist at Solomon school and the Daniel C. Beard school. Passionate is one way to describe Jen in her work helping autistic children throughout Chicago. There are countless people who have helped the family in many different ways. Those kind gestures will never be forgotten. A special thanks to Dr. Eytan Szmuilowicz, through his genuine compassion and empathy helped both Jen and her family during this difficult time.
