Jeffrey Tyson Strickland

Jeffrey Tyson Strickland, affectionately known as “Bomba,” joined the Lord on April 19, 2026. He was born on February 3, 1960 in Richmond, Virginia and resided in Bartlett, Illinois for most of his life.

Jeff loved spending time with his family and friends and often recalled the many good times they shared together. He enjoyed listening to music, watching Chicago sports—especially the Bears—and NASCAR. He had a deep interest in the weather, current events, and science, and appreciated life’s simple pleasures, from good food to time spent outdoors, especially in Wisconsin.

A man of faith, Jeff found comfort in his love for the Lord and the Blessed Mother. He will be remembered for his love of family, his deep faith, and the simple joys he cherished—music, good food, and time spent with those he loved.

He is survived by his children, Alyssa (James) Augustyn and Brandon Strickland; his granddaughter, Gianna Augustyn; his mother, Barbara Strickland; his brother, Gregory (Belinda) Strickland; his sister, Jana Strickland; his former wife and friend, Renee Santella; as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who will miss him and his contagious laugh.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Strickland.

A private burial will be held for immediate family and close friends. The family appreciates your understanding and welcomes you to share a memory or keep Jeff in your prayers.
