Jeffrey Pfeil

Jeffrey L. Pfeil, 54, of Wayne, formerly of Bartlett, passed away Sunday, December 23 after a 20 month battle with brain cancer. Jeff grew up in the northwest suburbs and graduated from Hersey High School in 1982. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1985. While working at Motorola and later Northrop Grumman, Jeff obtained his MS in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master of Product Development from Northwestern University. Jeff was a very dedicated, hard working, exceptional engineer who will be missed dearly by his colleagues and friends. Jeff was also a loving, devoted dad and caring husband. He enjoyed spending time with his family whether bicycling, camping, or just going to the library. He had a love of music, playing guitar and piano. Jeff enjoyed spending time by the water, relaxing on the beach with his family in Michigan, swimming and kayaking at the lake with his sister and brother, and sailing and windsurfing when the opportunity arose. Loving husband of Anne(nee Larson); beloved father of Arielle, Sara, and Andrew; dear son of Clyde and Carol Pfeil; cherished brother of Ken(fiancee Cindy Westerman) Pfeil and Debbie(John) Kny; devoted uncle of Monica and Matthew Pfeil and John Jeffrey Kny. We will miss your quick wit, adventurous spirit, endearing sense of humor, and loving heart. Life will not be the same without you.
