Jeffrey L. Gordon, 52 of Bartlett, IL passed away on September 8, 2011 after a 4 year battle with cancer. He was born March 22, 1959 in Kalamazoo, MI.
Jeff grew up in Northwest Indiana, graduating from Griffith High School in 1977. He married his high school sweetheart, Cathy Hardin Gordon in 1979. Graduating from Indiana University in 1981 with a BS in Chemistry. He worked at Standard Oil in Whiting, IN. and continued his education getting a MS in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology. In 1985 he started what would be a 26 year career with Northrop-Grumman Defensive Systems Division in Rolling Meadows, IL. He would get one more degree. An MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
He played and coached Rugby for the Chicago Blaze RFC from 1987 - 1997. An avid scuba diver, he enjoyed technical and cold water wreck diving in the Great Lakes. He and his family lived in the town of Bartlett since 1987.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Cathy, a beautiful daughter Casey, both of Bartlett, His parents, Ronald M. Gordon of Huntley, IL. and Geraldine Gordon of Griffith, IN. One sister, Julie Dowling (Brendan) of Hampshire, IL. One brother, Steven of Chicago, IL. , and five nieces and nephews.
We will all miss this man of honor and integrity, and will be remembered for his honesty and deep love of family.

Memorial Visitation Sunday, September 11th, 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Memorial Service Monday 11:00 a.m. Inurnment Bartlett Cemetery. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
