Jeffery Streeter Sr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffery S. Streeter, a longtime resident of South Elgin, who departed this life on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the age of 66 after a long battle with lung cancer. Born in October 1959, Jeff was the beloved son of the late Myron Streeter Sr. and Helen Streeter. He grew up with a profound appreciation for the outdoors, often finding solace and joy in his backyard surrounded by nature. He was passionate about bonfires, fishing, and camping, and he shared these interests with his family and friends.
Jeffery's professional life was marked by his career as a dedicated truck driver. Beyond his professional work, Jeff served as a former Cub Scout Leader and was also an avid reader with a special fondness for Sci-Fi.
Jeffery is survived by his two sons, Jeff (Rukia) Streeter Jr and Stephen (Amber) Streeter. He was the grandfather of Raila, Zaia, and Abigail. His memory will also be fondly remembered by his sister Mylene Mayes and brothers Myron Streeter Jr and Chris Streeter.
In accordance with his wishes, Jeffery's cremation will remain a private affair.
Though we mourn the loss of Jeffery S. Streeter, we also celebrate the wonderful life he lived, forever grateful for the memories and love he shared with us all. May his spirit find eternal peace in the great outdoors he so loved.
