Jeanne Lukasik

February 6, 1944 — December 19, 2020

Jeanne was born in 1944 to Bernard F. and Florence (Patton) Whalen in Chicago, IL. She received her degree in education from Chicago Teachers College (now, Chicago State University) in 1967 and was a devoted teacher for over 30 years for Chicago Public Schools. On April 22, 1967, she married the love of her life, John A. Lukasik.


Jeanne was a night owl who loved watching tv and talking on the phone. She enjoyed finding treasures at thrift stores, as well as telling and sharing jokes. Jeanne loved singing and her favorite song was “A Daisy A Day” by Roy Clark.


Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, brother Timothy Whalen, grandson Noah Bulandr, and husband, John. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Marc) Bulandr, her grandchildren; Haley, Jacob, and Joshua, her brother Bernard F. Whalen and sister Elizabeth (Terry) Monnett, and friend, Vern.
