Jeanne M. Clark (née Justman), 85, of Bartlett for over 54 years, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Jeanne began charming those around her early on, even being named homecoming queen at Dubuque Senior High. She carried that same warmth, humor, and easy kindness throughout her life.
Jeanne’s adventurous spirit then led her to live in new cities coast to coast, where she met new people—some of whom became lifelong friends—and eventually met the love of her life.
Jeanne spent 24 joyful years as a flight attendant, sharing her bright spirit and often turning strangers into new friends. A lifelong die-hard Chicago Cubs fan like her dad, she loved going to Wrigley Field, and at home she never missed a game—or a chance to proudly show off her Cubbie blue.
She embraced her social nature throughout her life, becoming everyone’s favorite presence on Facebook—always ready with the perfect comment and the biggest cheer for everyone. And no visit with Jeanne was complete without her favorite tradition: gathering with family and friends on the back patio—and no one was leaving until they took a selfie with her first.
Above all else, Jeanne’s greatest joy and purpose was her family. She was the best mom—devoted, loving, and endlessly proud. While Jeanne’s warmth touched so many, nothing compared to the love she had for her husband and her three children. Her family was her heart.
Beloved wife of the late Stanley; loving mother of Lance, Cameron, and Brittany (Andrew) Barnum; proud grandmother of Madeline and Charlie Clark, and Crew Barnum; dear sister of the late Sally (the late Roger) Hedrick and the late Fred Justman; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; devoted sister-in-law of Jane Martin.
