Jean Wilson

Jean Ann Wilson (nee Savoy), 80, of South Elgin, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
Born October 30, 1941 in Wheaton. Jean grew up in southern Illinois having
graduated from Newton High School in 1959. Following graduation, she moved to
St. Charles where she did clerical work and eventually commuted to the city
where she worked for Hartford Insurance until marrying Walter Wilson in 1964.
After her four children were born, Jean returned to the workforce, working at
Boynton Plastics doing assembly work before retiring in 2001. Jean enjoyed
gambling, Bingo, traveling, bird watching, get-togethers with her extended
Regelbrugge family and spending as much time as possible with her children and
grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late Walter; loving mom of Daniel (Kate Signer), Sarah, Walter
(Alissa Curts) and the late John; dear mother-in-law of Julie Regelbrugge;
cherished grandma of Walter, Jonathan, Matthew, Luke, Adam, Faith and Emma;
caring daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (n ee Molitor) Savoy; kind sister of
Mary, Pat, Sue, Dorothy, Rita, Dick and Art and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S
Gilbert St, South Elgin.
