Jean L. Gorski(nee Olsen), 87, of Bloomingdale, passed away Thursday, September 14. Jean was a strong woman filled with joy, laughter, love, and charisma. She loved Jesus, her family and friends, and the Cubs. A truly kind, sweet woman who loved her hot coffee, crosswords, talking on the phone, going out for dinner, playing(and winning) Canasta, Scrabble, and the Marble Game, boat rides on Lake Geneva, trips to the Arboretum, and her Christmas village houses that her grandpa made for the annual Gorski/Carlsen Girls Cookie Exchange. She opened her heart and home to all. She was a member of the Independent Order of Svithiod, Orion No. 64, Order of the Amaranth Friendship Court, and Order of the Eastern Star and former employee of Apple Concrete Coring. Beloved wife of the late Roy; loving mother of Doris Mikolajczyk, Carrie(Dennis) Vornkahl, Janet Lela(Bob) Meinke, and Leigh(David) Coffey; proud grandmother of James(Julie) and Courtney Mikolajczyk, and Ross, Adam(Francesca Cumero) Vornkahl, and Ann, Brandon, and Christopher Meinke, and Cristen(Frederick) Rockafellow, Korissa(James) Spencer, Dakoda Neace, Kimberly Coffey, and Colby Neace; dear great grandmother of Ty, Lauren, Jared, Dani, Addyson, and Josiah; fond sister of the late Joan(the late Bud) Carlsen; dear aunt of many and cousin of Lyle(Connie) Johnson; devoted friend of Betty Jane Clausen and Jilline Dodge.
