Jean Auer

Jean G. Auer (nee Gould), 91, of Elgin, IL, originally of Buffalo, NY, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025. Jean was a teacher for over 35 years and continued substitute teaching even after her retirement. She was an avid Chicago sports fan who enjoyed bowling and reading. Jean was also a dog lover and was always in attendance at her grandkids' sporting events. Beloved wife of the late Norbert Wyzykowski and the late Robert Auer; loving mother of Elizabeth (John) Ostrander and Catherine Wyzykowski; proud grandmother of Brandon and Megan Ostrander; fond cousin of many. Visitation Sunday, July 13 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert St. (at State St.), South Elgin. Funeral Monday 9:45am at the funeral home to St. Thomas More Church. Mass 10:30am. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
