Jason Abene

Jason Allen Abene passed away at Edward M. Poe Hospice Care Center at 1:20 PM on October 11th, 2021 at the age of 46.

Jason is predeceased by his mother, Phyllis Abene and his aunt, Dorene Belli.

Jason is lovingly remembered by his father, Michael Abene, his sister, Michelle (Todd) Persenico, his nieces, Kaitlyn and Kelsey, and his nephews Jake and Luke.

Jason was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois on July 14th, 1975. He graduated from Schaumburg High School in 1993. After high school, Jason enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country proudly for four years. Jason received two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, a Navy Unit Commendation, a Battle "E" Ribbon, and a Good Conduct Medal.

Jason moved to Florida three years ago to enjoy life on the beach. Jason was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. According to Jason, every year was the year the Cubs were going to the World Series. In 2016 his dream finally came true.

Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until time of service 7:00p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Burial will be private.

In honor of Jason's love for the Chicago Cubs, friends and family are welcome to wear Chicago Cubs clothing to his services.
