Janice N. Reiter, 81, of Hampshire died Saturday, December 9, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Born May 21, 1942, in Aurora. Janice enjoyed Mahjong, scrapbooking, reading and jigsaw puzzles but her biggest passion was always her family. Beloved wife of the late Donald; loving mom of Gay (Ken) Nechvatal, Donna (Dan) Drapalik, Mark (Phyllis) Reiter and Curt (Deb) Carlson; cherished grandma of Brett, Mike (Kim), Steve (Abigail), Scott (Megan), Tim, Caitlin (Garrett) and Hannah (Danny); dear great grandma of Lydia, Levi, Laklyn, Londyn, Emmitt and Elanor; caring daughter of the late LeRoy and Edith Ward; kind sister of the late Thais, David, Ruth and Dolores and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Cremation is private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St, South Elgin. Burial at Warrenville Cemetery with her husband Donald at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org or Tails Humane Society, www.tailshumanesociety.org, would be appreciated.
