Jan was born in Hancock, Michigan to Carl and Kathryn Liimatainen, and was raised in Aura, Michigan. She was salutatorian of the Lanse High School. Class of 1960, and attended Wheaton College where she studied nursing. She resided in Lake Zurich, Illinois for 56 years with her husband Robert (Bob) Reuss where they raised their 4 children. Jan loved to see, bake, garden, and create many kinds of crafts. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She is survived by her brothers Rodney and Richard Liimatainen, sister Judy Parks (Liimatainen), children Mike Reuss, Jeff (Ana) Reuss, Kellie (Jeff) Finney, Karin (Jason) Peterson, grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 15.
Services will be private.
