Janet Berg

Janet C. Berg (nee Weaver), 76, of Schaumburg died October 11, 2015. Janet was the beloved wife of Kurt; loving mother of Kathleen (Doug) Pletcher, Darren (Amy) Berg, and Lisa (Richard) Hootman; proud grandmother of Alex, Scott, and Amy; cherished sister of Dale (Wanda) Weaver.

Jan loved her family and was an inspiration to her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook for the family, host gatherings during the holidays and was an avid baker of Christmas cookies. Jan played tennis for many years in a league with friends and was a member of the Hanover Racket Club. She was also a Bulls fan and enjoyed gardening and reading. Jan, Kurt, and his brother and sister in law enjoyed many trips together to Hawaii.

The memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2:00pm-8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd) Streamwood/Schaumburg.
