It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane Femmel, who departed this world on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the age of 83. Jane was a resident of Schaumburg for over 50 years. She was born in Chicago on Thursday, February 18, 1943.
Jane found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast, she cherished the tranquility of moments spent with a good book or engaging in a challenging puzzle. One of her greatest joys was joining her late husband, Robert Femmel, in his garden, where they spent countless hours.
She is dearly missed by her loving children, Tracey Femmel (Mike Esparza) and Eric Femmel, who were the pride of her life. Jane’s nurturing spirit and compassionate heart will forever remain in their memories.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Femmel; her father, Al Brust; her mother, Marie (nee Gontarek) Brust; her sister, Carol Ann Brennan; and her brother, Alec Brust.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to all those who have supported them during this difficult time.
Arrangements are entrusted to Countryside Funeral Homes & Crematory in Streamwood where the cremation will be held privately.
